The Villa

Sielen Diva is the result of a family’s deep love for Sri Lanka and their wish for others to experience a very special place. The owners, who are of Sri Lankan heritage, are a couple who honeymooned in the country and continued to holiday here as a family once their daughters were born.

Despite visiting many other countries, it was Sri Lanka to which they returned time and time again. When asked for travel recommendations Sri Lanka was the first country they would suggest. All four family members are very different individuals and yet this tiny country had something for each of them: delicious and distinct local cuisine, wildlife tours, historical sites, indulgent wellness treatments.

A holiday home seemed a natural step, on the Southern Coast with its many attractions and convenient location.

A stunning plot of land was found, and a villa was built to highlight everything glorious about the location: the 180 degree view of the Indian Ocean, the large grounds and the sound of the waves. The villa has been decorated personally by the owners rather than by professional interior decorators. This was a deliberate choice, as the family had very specific ideas of what they would need for the perfect holiday.

Armchairs were chosen for comfortable sitting whilst reading as books feature heavily during vacations. There is a pool table in the games room because a spirited father-daughter match takes place every holiday.

It is hoped that you not only enjoy your stay, but Villa Sielen Diva is the place you create your own cherished memories and it becomes the place you find yourself recommending.
